'Chthonia' trousers

Description

Chthonia, chton is the external face of the underworld, the earth from the surface down.

Trousers made of cool wool and lined with black and white striped fabric. The regular fit has a high waist and features a double trompe l'oeil closure.

A metal ring decorates the strap, a detail reminiscent of the anthropomorphic ceramics of central Italy. There are two front pockets and one on the back.

The raw cuts represent the break with the elements that have forced man to live as masters of nature. The reversed seams represent Chthonia, the afterlife, the natural continuation of life after death.

All materials come from unsold stock recovered in the Prato textile district.

Any defect in the fabric is an element that enhances the garment.
